Small Pleasures brings together furniture makers, designers, and a culinary artist to consider the overlooked and undervalued, the trivial self-indulgences of the everyday: a fresh, warm croissant over the weekend paper, sitting to remove your shoes after a long day standing, hanging up work clothes at the close of business.
Each of these moments occurs as part of an intimate partnership with the objects we surround ourselves with. The artists represented in this show keep such moments in mind as they cook, design, re-think, and build those very objects.
As a part of the WeWork Soho community, the Nodus Living Gallery features work from a variety of creative disciplines including visual & performing arts, architecture & design, culinary arts, and craft-based practices. Through curated collections of these creatives’ work as well as collaborative projects, the Nodus Living Gallery seeks to expand the notion of what a gallery can do and can be, its relationship to artists & its audience.
